How Does The Product Work?
The Flashing Hawkeye revolves in the wind that gets caught by the specialiy designed and formed aerofoil board. This is the 'eyes' part of the deterrent.
The flashing effect comes from the uniquely-shaped mirrors that are all at slightly different angles, causing light to be reflected and bounced around at different angles, covering a wide area.
Is There Any Maintenance?
The only maintenance beyond initial installation is to regularly check the vertical alignment of the upright post.
How Can I Install It Vertically?
During installation, hold a spirit level on adjacent sides of the upright post for a rough guide. Exact vertical positioning can be achieved via the four adjustable locking screws on the turning mechanism. Full installation instructions are provided.
Will It Stay Upright In Strong Winds?
Yes. Extra fins on the ground spike on the ground mounted version holds the post firmly in place. For roof mounted versions, fixing directly to roof sheeting is possible. Alternatively, mounting to paving slabs and using these as ballast provides excellent stability, keeping the Flashing Hawkeye upright.
